The HR Officer will be required to display a wide range of knowledge, skill, and expertise within the area of HR. The HR Officer will be expected to assist the business within the Limpopo and surrounding regions with any HR-related queries. The role plays a pivotal part in fostering a positive and productive workplace culture.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:Communicating and assisting stores with HR-related matters and queriesAssist to implement and improve systems and procedures related to the HR departmentEnsure the updating, interpretation, and implementation of Organization Policies, Procedures, and AgreementsPrepare and present best practice solutions to the business to minimize risks, including management reporting and benchmarking statisticsAssist in training and development at store levelExecuting of IPMMaintain current knowledge of tools and best practices within Employee RelationsDay-to-day HR/IR advice to Managers/Directors/EmployeesAbility to maintain confidentiality and objectivity even when dealing with controversial issuesChairing disciplinary hearingsAppearances at the CCMA for inter alia: Con/Arb processes, Conciliation, Recession HearingsDealing with internal grievances (Group and individual)Counseling, Evaluation, and Training of staffIncapacity Investigations (Poor Work Performance and Ill Health)Facilitating retrenchment proceduresDrafting or perusing of recognitions agreements/wage and or any other agreements pertaining to Employee/Union related mattersStrike attendances and settlementsREQUIREMENTS:Qualification in Human Resource ManagementKnowledge of LRA; BCEA; SDLA; OHSA; COIDA; UIA; UI Contribution Act; SDA and EEABe a good negotiator and conflict handlerAbility to multitask; Reliability, dependability, and responsibilityAccuracy and efficiencyMS Office Suite experience3 - 5 Years' experience in HR/IR GeneralistValid driver's licence and travel to sites on occasionAttention to detailExcellent communication, management, organisational, and problem-solving skillsFluency in Tsonga and Venda (will be advantageous)
