Employee RelationsAssist in ensuring that fair labor practices are adhered to in their own area of responsibilityCoordinate disciplinary hearings Attend to CCMA Matters when required and develop and aptitude for conflict management and dispute resolutionPlay an effective advisory role to Management at the Head Office regarding employee behavior, disciplinary aspects Assist with Transformation HR Strategy, HR Policy, Procedures and ResourcesIn collaboration with HR Team, play an effective role in the creation of relevant HR Strategies to support Group OperationsIn collaboration with the HR Team at Head Office (and other sites) play a significant part in the implementation of the HR Strategies that are mandatedIn collaboration with HR team, play a significant role in initiating policies.
Implement agreed and mandated policies of the Group and ensure employees are sufficiently / reasonably informed on HR PoliciesEvaluate processes and procedures for optimization and remedial actions to ensure the HR Function is proactive, rests on a sound footing and the Department is solution-oriented and professionalCreate a suite of document templates e.g., employment contracts, variation to contract letters, invitation to meeting letters, resignation letters, HR Admin forms et cetera in line with ISO requirementsEnsure that all templates of the HR Department are always updated and that all are accessible to the HR Team.Form part of the Group HR Forum and contribute accordinglyOversee the operational HR team nationallyWorking with external BBBEE consultantsAuthorize final payroll documents for processing Recruitment and selectionEnsure consistent application of policies, processes relative to recruitment and selectionSpearhead the recruitment and placement of mandated Liaise with the HR Team, Executive Management, Recruitment Agencies, and other relevant service providers within the confines of Company policy, procedure and general ethical conductCoordinate response handling: receive CVs, shortlisting candidates, prepare interviews, conduct interviews and ITC and reference checksCoordinate occupational assessments for all positions in scope and administer the assessment results for decision-making and thus giving feedback to all relevant stakeholdersCoordinate the selection milestones within the agreed timelinesAdminister offers of employment in collaboration with Management and HR Manager Perform administration duties which include pension fund administration and medical aid queriesAdminister KPI's for all new employees in scope in conjunction with the Heads of DepartmentsAdminister the probationary arrangements and appropriate reviews with new employees in scopeConduct stay-interviews with new employees in the relevant departments to gauge culture fit, performance and prospects of success of new employees Skills Development Monitor and facilitate knowledge acquisition and reporting on the effectiveness of programmes and interventions in accomplishing the medium- and long-term skills development objectivesCollaborate with Heads of Departments to gain knowledge of work situations requiring training of employeesCollaborate extensively with the HR Teams and the Group HR Executive to spearhead People Planning / Talent Pools / Succession Planning for key roles and key departments across the organizationCoordinate the occupational and cognitive assessments of employees identified for promotion within the organizationPlan and provide training of staff on basic operational needs whilst coordinating external training on identified programmes for employeesMonitor the Group training budget utilization of funds per operating division to determine value for money and or ROICoordinate concise and yet impactful induction sessions for new employees in all operating levels that are definedMonitor and report on training projects and the enhancement of training initiativesEnsure proper record keeping for reporting purposes i.e., WSP, ATR, BEESupport the submission of the relevant reports, WSPs, ATRS to the relevant external bodiesComplete WSPS and ATRS in line with SETA requirementsEnsure that reports, correspondence and documentation and information are recorded, processed and maintained in accordance with administrative proceduresCoordinate the updating of qualifications of all employees in the Group (Qualifications Audit and Profiling)Serve as the Skills Development Facilitator for the GroupHR Support, Generalist Functions & AdministrationAct as a Consultant to other departments with regards to HR Issues to ensure an efficient HR Support serviceConduct regular meetings with the Departments and readily be accessible to the departmentsConstantly provide relevant updates and information as well as training when necessaryLiaise extensively with the Payroll Department to ensure the correct submission of documents and or the accurate payment of employees in line with Executive MandatesWork closely with the Payroll Department to ensure workforce information is kept up to date and any problems identified and addressedWork with the Group Executives to guide and advise management and employees through all aspects of the employee life cycle including absence management, investigations, discipline, grievance, and capability, by consistent application of policies and procedures and compliance with employment law and best practicesEnsure the gathering of payroll input i.e., new engagements, promotions, change of status information, termination information, and submission to the relevant department thereofAssist with the coordination of employee exit interviews and provide feedback to Functional HeadsProvide input to HR Executive and the broader HR Team on relevantinterventions to retain employeesConduct relevant research on various subjects to source relevant information for problem-solving and internal HR Strategies to assist the Group/business Statutory Reporting and Projects
