Our client, in the wine industry, is looking for a Human Resource Manager to join their team based in the Stellenbosch area as soon as possible.
Key Responsibilities: Industrial Relations: Foster a positive working environment by maintaining strong relationships between employees and management.
Assist managers with annual performance reviews, handle grievances, investigate disciplinary issues, and represent the company in CCMA dispute hearings.
Lead union negotiations and monthly team talks.Training & Development: Develop and implement an annual training budget and schedule in collaboration with line managers.
Authorize training requests and ensure alignment with the company's Workplace Skills Plan (WSP).
Oversee induction training for new employees and facilitate ongoing coaching for team leaders and supervisors.Compliance: Ensure all HR practices, policies, and procedures adhere to legal and audit requirements.
Manage statutory reports such as EE, BBBEE, WSP, and ATR, ensuring they are submitted accurately and on time.
Oversee the completion of all statutory recons, including Workman's Compensation and PAYE.HR Administration: Manage day-to-day HR functions, including drafting employment agreements, job descriptions, and key performance indicators (KPAs).
Regularly update organograms and assist with job evaluation assessments.
Prepare annual reports and people budgets in coordination with department heads.Payroll: Oversee payroll processes, ensuring salaries are approved and authorized correctly.
Monitor and update the payroll system to reflect any changes and ensure accurate, timely salary payments.Recruitment: Lead the recruitment process by collaborating with line managers to identify staffing needs, drawing up job specifications, and posting vacancy advertisements.
Screen candidates, conduct interviews, and oversee onboarding processes for new employees.
Conduct exit interviews and provide feedback to department heads.Qualifications and Experience: Grade 12 or equivalent.A relevant HR Degree or Diploma in Human Resource Management.At least 5 years of proven experience in HR management, with strong knowledge of labor laws and industrial relations.Excellent people management, interpersonal, and communication skills.Demonstrated ability to handle multiple responsibilities with a proactive and self-motivated approach.Experience in handling recruitment, payroll management, statutory reporting, and training coordination.Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.The position is based in office in the Stellenbosch area and is a permanent full time position.
Location: Stellenbosch.
Salary: R35 000-R45 000 CTC per month (depending on experience).
Starting date: As soon as possible.
