Company Overview:
Our client, a leading wholesale distributor in Durban, specializes in a diverse range of products including Automotive, Hardware, Hand and Power Tools, Garden Tools, Generators, and more. They pride themselves on delivering high-quality products and outstanding customer service to a wide array of sectors across the region. The company is now seeking a dynamic HR Manager to join their growing team and lead the Human Resources function.
Position: HR Manager
Location: Durban
Key Responsibilities:

HR Strategy & Leadership: Develop and implement HR strategies aligned with the company's goals and objectives, contributing to the overall business strategy.
Recruitment & Talent Management: Lead the recruitment process, including job postings, interviewing, and onboarding. Oversee talent management initiatives such as performance management, succession planning, and employee development programs.
Employee Relations: Manage and resolve complex employee relations issues, ensuring a harmonious and legally compliant workplace.
HR Compliance: Ensure compliance with local labor laws, health and safety regulations, and company policies. Manage disciplinary processes and employee grievances.
Training & Development: Identify training needs and create programs to enhance employee skills and foster career growth.
Compensation & Benefits: Oversee payroll, manage employee benefits programs, and ensure competitive compensation practices.
HR Administration: Maintain accurate employee records, oversee HR-related systems and data management, and manage all employment documentation.

Qualifications and Experience:

Bachelors degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
Minimum 5 years of experience in HR management, preferably within the wholesale, retail, or manufacturing sectors.
In-depth knowledge of South African labour laws and HR best practices.
Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships at all levels of the organization.
Experience with HR software systems and data management.
Excellent problem-solving and conflict-resolution abilities.
