Head of Operations Job DescriptionCape Town based Head of Operations role involves overseeing daily operations, optimising workflows, managing relationships with delivery partners and the returns process.
Oversee daily business operations to ensure smooth processes.Develop operational policies and procedures to enhance productivity and efficiency.Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to identify areas for improvement.Coordinate with various departments to ensure alignment and seamless workflow.Manage inventory levels to meet sales demands while minimising carrying costs.Responsibilities also include:
Conducting cost analysis and identifying areas for cost reduction within the logistics chain.Monitoring goods movement through tracking systems and resolving issues or delays in the logistics flow.Managing warehouse operations, including storage, picking, packing, and shipping of goods.Negotiating contracts and agreements with suppliers to secure best terms and conditions.Maintaining strong relationships with key suppliers and vendors.Ensuring compliance with procurement policies, procedures, and regulations.RequirementsBachelor's degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.At least 5 years experience in operations management.Strong experience with stock management and control.Proven experience in operations and procurement management, preferably in a medium-sized business environment.Proficiency in Excel (advanced) and ERP software.Estimated Salary: R800,000 - R1,200,000 per annum
