This role will play a key part in supporting both strategic and operational HR functions, ensuring compliance with HR policies and providing a positive employee experience.Role Overview:As an HR Generalist, you will manage the day-to-day HR operations, including the administration of policies, procedures, and programs. You will be the go-to person for both employees and managers, supporting the full employee lifecyclefrom recruitment and onboarding to performance management and offboarding.Key Responsibilities:Recruitment & Onboarding:Partner with hiring managers to understand staffing needs and create job descriptions.Source, screen, and interview candidates to ensure the best fit for the role and company culture.Lead the onboarding process, ensuring new hires have a smooth transition into their roles.Employee Relations & Engagement:Serve as the first point of contact for employee queries related to HR policies and procedures.Promote a positive work environment through employee engagement initiatives.Provide support in resolving employee relations issues and mediate conflicts when necessary.Performance Management:Coordinate and support the performance review process, including coaching managers and employees.Assist in the development and implementation of performance improvement plans where needed.Compliance & Policy Management:Ensure all HR policies are current and compliant with South African labor laws and regulations.Maintain employee records and handle sensitive information with the utmost confidentiality.Assist with internal HR audits to ensure compliance and accuracy.Compensation & Benefits Administration:Oversee payroll administration, employee benefits, and compensation packages.Provide employees with guidance on benefits and salary-related questions.Assist in the annual salary review process and administer employee benefits.Learning & Development:Support learning and development initiatives, coordinating training programs and identifying training needs.Assist in developing leadership programs for managers and future leaders within the company.HR Data & Reporting:Maintain accurate HR records and generate HR reports such as headcount, turnover, and performance statistics to inform strategic decisions.Key Skills & Competencies:Strong knowledge of South African labor laws and HR best practices.Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.Ability to juggle multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced environment.Problem-solving and conflict-resolution skills.High attention to detail and strong organizational skills.Proficiency with HRIS and Microsoft Office Suite.Qualifications & Experience:Bachelors degree in Human Resources, Industrial Psychology, or related field.3-5 years of experience in a similar HR Generalist role.Experience in recruitment, employee relations, and compliance is essential.Ability to manage confidential information with integrity and discretion.Why Join This Team?This is a unique opportunity to join a forward-thinking company that values personal and professional growth.
