Job Description The HR Generalist will primarily support the Cape Town site across various HR functions, with a strong focus on statutory compliance and administrative tasks.
This role requires a keen attention to detail and a proactive mindset, ensuring the seamless operation of all People Operations activities.
Responsibilities • Be the HR point of contact for employees and their representatives and provide first level of People Operations • Taking care of administration of employees by; o Collect and maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records and process employee status changes, such as promotions, transfers, and terminations, in compliance with company policies and regulations.
o Administer employee benefits programs, including health insurance, lunch allowances, retirement plans, and other fringe benefits.
• Supporting payroll administration input processes for submission • Actively participate in the recruitment process by coordinating the recruitment process; job ad preparation and publishing, sourcing, screening and organizing interviews.
• Plan and conduct new employee orientation sessions to ensure a smooth onboarding experience • Participation in People Operations-related projects and initiatives locally and globally.
• Assisting and participating in ensuring compliance with South African labour laws and regulations, including the Basic Conditions of Employment Act, Labour Relations Act, and others.
• Follow up on disciplinary matters as required.
