The abovementioned career opportunity is currently available at the BSSA. This is the ideal position for a dynamic person to take responsibility for the effective management and administration of the BSSA's employee relations and human resources manuals, policies, programs, practices and tasks. In addition to the HR related responsibilities, the incumbent will also assist the Finance Department with advanced accounting to general ledger.Key Performance Areas:Effectively manage all employee relations matters (including but not limited to counselling, grievances, disciplinary action etc.)Monitor and implement applicable legislation and legal requirementsOversight of performance management systemEnsure the personnel manual, policies, systems and procedures comply with legal requirements and relevant legislationEnsure accurate, effective, and timeous payroll and leave processingEmployee administration and support (e.g. medical aid, retirement fund, succession planning, personnel files, etc.)Compile budgets in conjunction with Finance DepartmentAdvanced monthly and yearly journals and balance sheet reconciliationsPreparation of all relevant documentation needed for auditing purposesLiaison with auditors during audit process and investigation of queriesRequirements:Relevant graduate qualification (HR, Accounting)Completed Articles with an Audit / Accounting company will strengthen the applicationAt least five years' experience in a similar roleAdvanced knowledge of both labour and financial legislationExperience in payroll processingRelationship building and ability to motivate staffFinancial acumen and the ability to analyse and interpret dataEthics and professionalismProven ability to handle confidential information with the utmost discretionComputer skills (MS Office & Relevant Accounting / Payroll packages)Excellent verbal and written communication skills (English & Afrikaans)Deadline-driven and goal-oriented
