KEY RESPONSIBILITIES MA in HRM/HRD or Psychology or Business Administration and/or CIPD qualifiedExtensive knowledge of maritime industry regulations, laws and MLC 2006 Good knowledge of MS Office, Power Point, Excel, SharePointFluent in English (C1 level) and any other language is a great advantagePartners with senior leaders, ship and shore, to diagnose people requirements and develop effective solutions that support the ship as the business needs evolve, guided by company valuesAssures that all HR services are delivered in accordance with the Company expectationsWorking closely with the Crew Office ensures correct and timely implementations of processes & procedures such as: Couple Policies, Internal Mobility, Change in Contract Period, Compassionate Leaves, Resignations, Engagement Proposal, etcWorking closely with the Master/Staff Captain/Chief Security/HoDs, acting as a neutral adviser creating a safe work environment and a consistent application of disciplinary actionsLeads investigations pertaining to them, as per Rule of Shipboard conduct, keeping the Staff Captain and shoreside representatives (MSC CM UK) appraised as appropriateSupports the Ship Safeguarding Officer (Staff Captain), for all Crew related activationsEnsuring consistent approach for vulnerable crew and timely reporting to shoreside representatives (SPOC)Is responsible for the correct implementation of the performance management process and addresses any concerns as neededMonitors shipboard operations to ensure they are in compliance with HR Policies and Procedures, Global HESS, MLC 2006, relevant Fleet Regulations and other applicable internal, external, and governmental regulations at all times; promptly reports any deficiencies to the Master and the Shoreside HR Team as relevantEnsures all Learning & Development activities are organized and delivered in line with Corporate HR guidelines and best practicesQUALIFICATIONS MA in HRM/HRD or Psychology or Business Administration and/or CIPD qualifiedExtensive knowledge of maritime industry regulations, laws and MLC 2006 Good knowledge of MS Office, Power Point, Excel, SharePointFluent in English (C1 level) and any other language is a great advantageDOCUMENTS REQUIREDValid South African PassportPolice Clearance
