OverviewThe HRBP for South Africa will be responsible for all HR and people related matters in South Africa and Mauritius. This would include HR policies, procedures and processes, as well as communication of global strategic initiatives to the group of employees in both South Africa and Mauritius. Holistic HR responsibility for both the permanent employees and the flex talent population in both South Africa and Mauritius.ResponsibilitiesTogether with local management teams, build, drive and support a positive, safe, and engaging work environment that promotes long-term retention and a high-performance, collaborative work culture.Ensure all HR policies and local employee handbooks are updated in line with legislative changes and communicate all relevant changes to the local teams accordingly.Communicate and support global HR initiatives among the employee and flex talent (where applicable) populations in both South Africa and Mauritius.Manage any Industrial Relations related matters.Manage performance management processes for all South Africa and Mauritius employees.Support all activities related to benefits and leave administration.Ensure all employment contracts for new joiners are issued timeously and in line with relevant employment criteria per grade and per contract type (permanent employment versus contractors).Review and sign the Intent to Recruit (ITR) forms for all recruitment requests relating to new employees in South Africa and Mauritius.Ensure that background checks are completed for all new joiners.Understand and share monthly people stats reports with the leadership team and note any trends occurring in South Africa and Mauritius.Ensure all exit interviews are completed and report against any trends occurring.Assist in managing the entire population of permanent employees and serve as escalation point for people matters regarding flex talent in South Africa and Mauritius.Support the European region with day-to-day employee relation cases, such as performance management, maternity and paternity, and sickness.QualificationsMinimum Education Requirements:Matric qualificationHR Generalist Qualification / HR Related DegreeMinimum Experience Requirements:5 years in a HR Business Partner role.Track record of managing Industrial Relation matters specifically in South Africa.Other Requirements:Conflict resolution: can resolve conflict, and find proactive solutions that align with business goals and legal requirements.Influencing and coaching: can provide constructive feedback and coaching to leaders on employee relations, leadership skills, and change management.Change management: Lead or support initiatives that guide Consilio through transitions, while communicating effectively with employees at all levels.Collaboration and partnership: Build strong relationships with department heads, team leaders, and employees.Consilio's True North ValuesExcellence: We strive to make every client our advocate.Passion: We DO because we CARE.Collaboration: We win together through teamwork and communication.Agility: We flex, adapt and embrace change.People: We value, respect and invest in our teammates.Vision: We create clarity of purpose and a clear path forward.Consilio, LLC is an EEO/Affirmative Action Employer and does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, protected veteran status, disability or any other legally protected status.
