About the role We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented HR Intern to join our team. Reporting to the Operations Manager, you will gain hands-on experience in various HR functions, including administrative tasks, payroll support, and maintaining employee records. This internship is an excellent opportunity to apply your formal education and develop key skills in a professional setting while contributing to the success of the HR department. Responsibilities As an HR Intern, your key responsibilities will include but are not limited to: Assisting with general administrative HR tasks. Supporting payroll processes and ensuring accurate record-keeping. Maintaining and organizing employee records with confidentiality. Assisting in policy creation and updates. Supporting recruitment and onboarding processes. Providing administrative support in training and development activities. Gaining exposure to HR software systems, including Sage HR. Assisting with bookkeeping and budgeting for HR-related projects. Liaising with various departments to ensure smooth HR operations. Requirements South African unemployed youth between the ages of 18 and 34. Must not have participated on the YES Programme before. NQF level 6 or higher, in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field. Familiarity with MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook). Basic knowledge of HR software systems, such as Sage HR, is advantageous. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with integrity. Basic bookkeeping and budgeting knowledge is a plus. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
