Housekeeping Supervisor

The Housekeeping Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the housekeeping staff and ensuring that the hotel rooms and public areas are maintained to the highest standards of cleanliness and presentation.
You will coordinate daily housekeeping operations, train and motivate your team, and ensure that all cleaning procedures are followed efficiently.
Your role will also involve managing inventory of cleaning supplies, reporting maintenance issues, and ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.
A keen eye for detail and a passion for delivering exceptional guest experiences are essential to succeed in this position.
Key Responsibilities: Will be reporting to the Executive Housekeeper.
Supervise and coordinate the activities of the housekeeping staff on a daily basis.
Inspect guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house areas for cleanliness and maintenance issues.
Train, motivate, and evaluate housekeeping staff, providing ongoing support and feedback.
Manage inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment, ensuring that all necessary items are stocked.
Prepare and submit reports on housekeeping operations as required.
Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and hotel policies.
Assist in the scheduling of housekeeping staff to meet operational needs.
Respond to guest inquiries and requests professionally, ensuring satisfaction.
Coordinate with the maintenance department to address any maintenance issues promptly.
Requirements Proven experience in a housekeeping role, with at least 1-2 years in a supervisory capacity.
Strong knowledge of cleaning techniques, products, and equipment.
Excellent leadership and team management skills.
Attention to detail with a strong commitment to delivering high standards of cleanliness.
Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
Knowledge of health and safety regulations relating to housekeeping practices.
Previous experience in the hospitality industry is preferred.
High school diploma or equivalent; additional qualifications in hospitality management or related fields are a plus.
