This pivotal role is responsible for overseeing housekeeping operations, ensuring exceptional standards of cleanliness, and managing inventory control processes to deliver an outstanding guest experience.Housekeeping Manager:Qualifications & Requirements:Valid RSA Driver's LicenseProficient in MS Office and EmailExceptional Guest Relations skillsAbility to manage staffUnderstanding and ability to manage the housekeeping departmentAbility to plan ahead and problem solveFinancial experience in budget control, stock takes, and stock controlExperience:Previous experience in a Big 5 reserve and 5-star lodge necessaryPrevious housekeeping supervisory experiencePackage:Salary negotiable depending on experience and referencesAccommodationMeals while on duty21 days on, 7 days off work cycle15 days annual leaveProvident FundResponsibilities: Responsibilities Include, but are not limited to:Implement and monitor policies, processes, and standards to ensure effective high-quality housekeeping service is provided to guests.Implement and monitor processes to understand housekeeping needs and expectations of guests, and report on these.Implement and monitor processes that facilitate immediate response to housekeeping requests received from guests.Provide direction, oversight, and guidance to the housekeeping team.Ensure daily housekeeping workflow is completed timeously as set out.Ensure housekeeping discrepancy report is handed to the general manager timeously every day as set out by the daily workflow.Attend and/or conduct morning briefing with the housekeeping team.Daily linen count.Monitor laundry department and ensure laundry is up to date and that linen cleanliness is up to standard.Housekeeping Manager (Continued):Implement and monitor with senior Food and Beverage leaders and supervisors, fellow housekeeping, and the stewarding department to ensure effective par-stock levels for utensils, chinaware, glassware, flatware, hollowware, cutlery, and other items required for the operation of the housekeeping department.
