Hotel Trade and Sales Executive
A strategic and world renowned hospitality brand in the Western Cape is seeking the skills of a leisure sale executive to join its in0house trade and marketing team – to promote its products to national and international trade partners. The role is industry specific and only travel and tourism candidates will be considered.
The position reports to the Group Marketing and Trade Manager with a focus on building strategic relationships on behalf of the brands. The role also has organizational relationships with the general managers, reservations team and F&B.
The role is supported by a content team, contracting administrator, reservations, finance and marketing office.
Responsibilities:
General Representation and Sales Administration
Ensure all account correspondence is updated and recorded
All client files have complete details and kept up-to-date
Ensures that research work is undertaken (ie. Competitor insight etc.)
Fosters good relationships with all trade contacts & buyers
Assist in increasing the database
Client and potential client visits
Attends meetings, events and industry related functions
Assist in planning & hosting all necessary FAM, sales calls and site inspections
Attends and assists the Group Marketing and Trade Manager in organising and participation at trade exhibitions and workshops
Group presentations via digital formats or in person
Attend and present brands at local, national and international trade events and missions
Create personalized presentations for various markets
Complete monthly reports
Account Management
Maintains a consistent sales call plan
Understand trade booking trends, potential volumes and other opportunities
Have face-to-face meetings with key influencers and clients
Develop profiles for all key trade partners (ie. birthdays, anniversaries, personal preferences etc.)
Grading of clients for database
Skills and Requirements
NOT NEGOTIABLE: Work history must be travel and tourism related
Computer literate
Excellent communication skills with an eye for detail
Well-presented and self-motivated
Must be able to plan, prioritise and work well under pressure
Excellent sales and negotiation skills
Excellent public relations ability
Corporate and leisure sales knowledge
Must be able to do presentations with confidence
