Perform routine cleaning of public areas such as lobbies, corridors, elevators, lounges, restrooms, and other guest-accessible spaces. Vacuum, sweep, mop, and dust all designated areas to maintain cleanliness and tidiness. Empty trash receptacles and replace liners regularly to uphold hygiene standards. Keep entryways, walkways, and outdoor spaces clean and free from debris. Monitor and maintain the cleanliness of public restrooms, ensuring they are well-stocked with supplies (e.g., toilet paper, hand soap, paper towels). Regularly clean and disinfect sinks, countertops, mirrors, and other fixtures to maintain high sanitary standards. Report any maintenance issues or damages found in public areas promptly to the appropriate department or supervisor.
Conduct regular inspections of designated areas to identify and address cleanliness and safety concerns. Greet guests and visitors with a friendly and professional demeanor, providing assistance and answering basic inquiries when needed.
Offer a warm and welcoming atmosphere, helping to create a positive first impression for guests. Collaborate with other hotel departments, such as housekeeping and maintenance, to ensure seamless operations and guest satisfaction. Assist in handling special projects and tasks as assigned by supervisors or management. Follow all hotel safety and security procedures to maintain a safe environment for guests and staff.
Adhere to the hotel's policies and standards, including those related to cleanliness, hygiene, and appearance. Assists in arranging and maintaining housekeeping carts when needed Support Housekeeping Team when needed Other duties as assigned.
OUR IDEAL CANDIDATE: High school diploma or equivalent. Previous experience in similar role in the hospitality industry is a plus. Knowledge of proper cleaning techniques and use of cleaning equipment. Ability to work with minimal supervision and maintain a high level of self-motivation. Strong attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality service. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact with guests and team members. Physical stamina and the ability to perform repetitive tasks for extended periods. Flexibility to work different shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, as needed. Excellent customer service and communication skills.
Ability to comprehend and speak English to understand and respond to information and address advanced guest requests required both verbally and in writing.
Knowledge of additional language(s) preferred A FEW MORE THINGS: Frequently handling objects and equipment to maintain the facility; May be required to work nights, weekends and/or holidays; Frequently standing up and moving about the facility; Frequently bending, stooping, and kneeling; Communication skills are utilized a significant amount of time when interacting with guests and employees; Carrying or lifting items weighing up to 50 pounds and pushing and or pulling approximately 200 pounds; Basic reading, writing, and math abilities are utilized often when reading assignments, completing checklists, replacing linens and amenities. Able to stand and be physically active for 8 hours.
Work may be performed in an area, which may be unusually noisy and crowded. Mobility to include bending, reaching, prolonged standing and walking, accessing, and lifting items from floor level to six feet high. Normal sense of smell, touch, sound, and vision range Eye/hand coordination and manual dexterity Work area is subject to variable temperatures.
