Experienced Hotel Night Auditor required for a hotel in Sandton.
Position Overview:
We are seeking a warm, organized, and customer-focused Hotel Night Auditor to join our team. As the first point of contact for guests, you will play a key role in creating a positive and welcoming atmosphere. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, a friendly attitude, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Guest Check-in/Check-out: Manage the guest check-in and check-out process efficiently and with a smile, ensuring a seamless experience for all guests.
Customer Service: Respond to guest inquiries, provide information about hotel services, and offer local area recommendations.
Reservation Management: Handle reservations via phone, email, and in person, ensuring all bookings are accurately recorded in the system.
Billing and Payments: Process payments, generate invoices, and manage guest accounts with accuracy and professionalism.
Administrative Support: Assist with other front desk duties, including answering phones, managing emails, and coordinating with other departments to meet guest needs.
Problem Solving: Address and resolve guest complaints or issues in a calm and efficient manner, escalating to management if necessary.
Maintain Lobby Area: Ensure the reception area is tidy, welcoming, and equipped with up-to-date information for guests.
Night Audit Function: Run reports, reconcile postings, and balance transactions. Check room rates.
Qualifications:
Matric (Grade 12) or equivalent qualification.
CURRENT experience in a Night Auditor position within the hotel industry.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
Friendly and professional demeanor with a focus on customer satisfaction.
Proficiency in hotel management software and basic computer skills (Microsoft Office).
Ability to work shifts, including evenings, weekends, and public holidays.
