Discretionary 13th cheque Assistant Financial Manager RESPONSIBILITIES Prepare and analyze monthly management reportsMonitor daily financial transactions and ensure accuracy and compliance with accounting principlesAssist in managing accounts payable and receivable processesPreparation of balance sheet reconciliationsOversee and reconcile bank statements, credit card payments, and petty cashCollaborate with the management team to identify opportunities for cost reduction and revenue growthSupport the annual audit process and ensure compliance with accounting standardsProvide financial guidance and support to department heads and managersAssist in developing, implementing, and maintaining financial policies and proceduresPerform regular financial analysis to identify variances and make strategic recommendationsEnsure adherence to internal controls, policies and proceduresAssist in preparing financial forecasts, budget, investment analysis, and cash flow managementCollaborate with external partners, such as suppliers and auditors, to maintain strong working relationshipsREQUIREMENTS Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related fieldMinimum of 2 years of experience in a similar financial role within the hospitality industrySolid understanding of financial principles and accounting practicesProficiency in financial software, such as Excel, Sage 300, and other MS Office applicationsExcellent analytical and problem-solving skillsStrong attention to detail and accuracyAbility to work independently and as part of a teamExceptional organizational and time management skillsExcellent verbal and written communication skillsStrong interpersonal skills and the ability to build positive relationshipsAbility to work in a fast-paced and deadline-driven environment
