Key Responsibilities: Greet and welcome guests in a warm, friendly, and professional manner. Manage reservations and seating arrangements, balancing table availability with guest requests. Escort guests to their tables and provide menus, ensuring they are comfortable and satisfied with their seating. Monitor the dining room and communicate with servers and kitchen staff to ensure smooth service flow. Manage waitlists during busy periods and keep guests informed of estimated wait times. Handle guest inquiries, requests, and concerns efficiently and professionally. Assist with phone reservations, special requests, and handling takeaway orders when necessary. Keep the front-of-house area clean, organized, and visually appealing. Support other front-of-house team members when required, especially during peak hours. Qualifications: Previous experience in a hostess or customer service role is a plus, but not required. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a positive, friendly demeanor. Strong organizational skills and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment. Ability to remain calm under pressure and handle difficult situations with grace. Professional appearance and a customer-focused attitude. Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required. Familiarity with reservation systems is a bonus, but training will be provided.
