START DATE : A.S.A.P / ImmediateREQUIREMENTS:Grade 12, hospitality certificate will be a plusPreferably 1-2 years of previous hostess experienceUnderstanding of restaurant etiquetteExperience in managing reservationsAble to work in a teamDemonstrable customer-service skillsExcellent communication skills (via phone and in-person)Strong organizational skills with the ability to monitor the entire dining and bar areaAvailability to work within opening hours (e.g.
evenings, public holidays, weekends)Good physical condition to walk and stand during an entire shiftComfortable in dealing with very distinguished clienteleAble to handle a high-pressure environmentMust be well-presented with an enthusiastic personalityFlexibility and Accountability DUTIES: Welcome guests to the venueEnsure one hostess is handling the reservations book, while the other hostess welcomes the guestsEscort guests to assigned dining or bar areasProvide menus and announce waiter/waitress nameCreate a floor plan for both lunch and dinnerCheck with the senior chef on duty if there are any changes to the lunch/dinner menusChange the menus from dinner to lunch and vice versa (depending on shift)Create a list of available tables for lunchCreate a handover sheet for the next shift/go through handover sheet of the previous shiftGreet guests upon their departureMaintain hostess desk clean and tidyAnswer incoming calls and address guests' queriesTo be well-informed on the estate and local infoCommunicate to managers and waiters regarding VIP visits as soon as they are seatedBe familiar with the reservation policies, such as booking times, etc HOURS: 3 single shifts (Early 8:30-16:30 or late 15:00-23:00) and 2 split shifts (8:30-15:00; 17:30-23:00) over the 5 days.
These shifts will be adjusted over the slower periods with only one split
