We are looking for an experienced Hospitality Manager in the Mopani District to organize and oversee the daily operations of our clients' facilities. You will be responsible for coordinating activities and helping people reach their full potential. Responsibilities: Prepare welcome and departure notes for guestsCheck guests in during the day and manage dietaries, or any other special requestsMeet all guests, check-ins, check outs, hosting guests, and site-inspectionsEnsure all organizational requirements around delivering a guest experience at the Lodge are planned for and executed dailyAssist in training and developing staff as necessaryWork closely with the Senior Management team to ensure a seamless daily operationEnsure our brand standards are always maintained in all areas that make up the guest experienceRepresent the Lodge brand in appearance and behaviorInnovate new ideas and ways to enhance the brand and improve guest delight both in the bush and at the lodgeCheck set-ups for breakfast, lunch, and dinnerBe a critical part in managing the butler's department including their shifts, duties, and assisting with any arising issuesEnsure the main area is always tidyHost guests at mealtimes and check the smooth running of service from the kitchen and butlerWork closely with butlers and Lodge managers to maintain a high service standardAssist the Operations Manager and Lodge Manager with monthly stock takes and stock ordersAssist with general administrative work, including emails, staff rostering, and daily allocationsAssist with General Management of Stock Control and ensuring correct stock issuanceRun Point on Large Group BookingsKeep open communication with all departments and allow information to flow freelyHelp Operations Manager & Lodge Manager with Lodge Operations when either is on leavePay close attention to day sheet information such as dietary requirements and medical needs for guestsBe motivated, friendly, and proactive when dealing with lodge operations and guests' expectationsKnowledge required (qualifications and training): Valid unendorsed SA driver's license essentialMS Office knowledge essentialPANstrat Knowledge beneficialSkills required: Communication skills - with guests and fellow staff membersLateral thinking abilityFlexibilityInitiativeProfessional, courteous, hospitable to guestsAbility to cope under pressure to meet guests' needsLeadershipOrganizational abilitiesHonest, good integrity, proactive, and driven person with career ambitionsGood interpersonal skillsProblem-solving skillsTeam playerDiligence and self-motivation to meet deadlinesWillingness/ability to share information and teach and inspire othersWine & Food experiencePrevious work experience (Non-negotiable): 3 to 5 years' experience in a 5-star operation in a camp manager/Duty manager roleExperience in the service industry, especially in dealing with guests and staffManagerial experience
