Hospitality Manager - Luxury Lodge - Limpopo
Synopsis:
Our client, a renowned 5-star safari lodge, is seeking a dedicated and passionate Hospitality Manager. The ideal candidate will be an experienced professional committed to delivering an exceptional guest experience while upholding the highest standards of sustainability and community care.
Description:
As a Hospitality Manager, you will play a vital role in ensuring that every guest enjoys a memorable stay. You will be responsible for overseeing daily operations, managing guest interactions, and maintaining the lodge's exceptional service standards. Your leadership will be crucial in fostering a positive environment that aligns with our client's brand values and culture.
Key Outputs:
Prepare welcome and departure notes for guests.
Check guests in during the day, manage dietary needs, and accommodate special requests.
Meet all guests, handle check-ins and check-outs, host guests, and conduct site inspections.
Ensure the execution of the daily guest experience plan.
Assist in training and developing staff.
Collaborate with the Senior Management team for seamless daily operations.
Maintain brand standards in all areas of the guest experience.
Represent the brand in appearance and behavior.
Foster a culture aligned with the brand's values and DNA.
Innovate new ideas to enhance the guest experience.
Plan, action, and create guest delights both in the bush and at the lodge.
Oversee set-ups for breakfast, lunch, and dinner.
Manage the butler's department, including shifts, duties, and issue resolution.
Ensure the main area is tidy and styled to the BOPs.
Host guests at mealtimes and ensure smooth service from the kitchen and butler team.
Work closely with butlers and Lodge Managers to maintain high service standards.
Assist with monthly stock takes and stock orders.
Handle general administrative work, including emails, staff rostering, and daily allocations.
Manage stock control and ensure correct issuance of stock.
Lead on large group bookings.
Maintain open communication with all departments.
Assist Operations Manager and Lodge Manager during their leave periods.
Pay close attention to guest dietary and medical requirements.
Maintain a positive attitude and willingness to learn and grow.
Embrace a training mentality and be open to feedback.
Requirements:
Valid unendorsed SA driver's license.
Proficiency in MS Office.
Knowledge of PANstrat is beneficial.

Experience in wine and food is advantageous.
Previous Work Experience Required:
3 to 5 years of experience in a 5-star operation in a camp manager or duty manager role.
Experience in the service industry, particularly in guest and staff interactions.
Managerial experience.
