RPO Recruitment is currently seeking a highly skilled HOD Engineering Manager to join a leading mining company in the Northern Cape.
In this role, you will provide leadership and direction to the engineering department, ensuring the highest standards of safety, efficiency, and performance are achieved.
This position requires a proactive approach to managing engineering projects and driving continuous improvement within the team and the operational processes.
Responsibilities: Lead and manage the engineering team, ensuring alignment with company goals and objectives Oversee engineering projects from conception to completion, ensuring timely and budget-friendly execution Implement and oversee safety and environmental policies within the engineering operations Develop and manage engineering budgets, ensuring effective allocation of resources Collaborate with other departments to identify and resolve engineering challenges Ensure compliance with mining regulations and industry standards Foster a culture of continuous improvement through innovative engineering solutions Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide mentorship for engineering staff Requirements Diploma/Degree in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering GCC Mines & Works Post graduate Management qualification Minimum 10 years' experience as an appointed Section Engineer in the mining industry Minimum 5 years Project Management experience Strong knowledge of mining engineering principles, methodologies, and best practices Excellent leadership and team management skills Proven track record of successfully managing engineering projects Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities Effective communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment Benefits Salary: Negotiable Family Leave (Maternity, Paternity) Paid Time Off (PTO) (if applicable) RPO is a Specialist Recruitment Agency that provides candidates and clients with unique recruitment solutions tailored to their needs.
