THE SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATE WILL BE EXPECTED TO: Teach History (Grade 8 – 12)Engender a healthy environment for pupil development and learning.Be prepared to work according to the St Patrick's College Christian ethos and according to Governing Body policies.Interact and communicate well with teenagers.Have competent interpersonal skills.Have the capacity to develop and sustain new teaching and learning ideas.Demonstrate an understanding of Ed Tech (e.g., Google classroom) and how to use it to advance teaching and learning in a senior school environment.REQUIREMENTS: A BA (plus PGCE) is required or B.Ed. (FET phase) – majoring in History.At least 2 years' experience teaching Grade 12 HistoryExperience of the IEB would be a recommendation.Ability to teach English would be a recommendation.Current SACE registration.National Register for Sex Offenders (NSRO) compliant.An application letter accompanied by a full CV, together with the names and contactable details of three referees, should be submitted to ****** by Monday 26 August 2024.
