Position DetailsDate of Commencement – 1 January 2025
Due to an internal promotion, the position of Head of English has become available for 2025. Should this post be filled internally after the recruitment process, a position for an English Teacher would therefore become available. The ideal candidate should demonstrate an awareness of the centrality of language and of literature as tools for pupils to negotiate, understand and enrich their world. A wide-ranging reading history will be especially valued.
Requirements for the above post: Suitable university degree/teaching qualificationSACE RegistrationExperience in teaching the IEB Curriculum from Grade 8 to Grade 12Experience in IT integrated teaching and excellent administrative skillsExperience with the teaching of Further Studies English will be an added advantage.The candidate must have a proven track record comprising innovation and the ability to promote a creative, stimulating environment. The successful candidate will have strong emotional intelligence and be a visionary leader able to guide a team of dedicated and committed staff within the English Department. Experience in IEB marking would be an advantage.
