Qualifications & Experience:Education: B Psych degreeProfessional Membership: Health Professions Council of South Africa (HPCSA), Registered Clinical PsychologistExperience: Minimum of 3 years in hospital, clinic, or managed care settings, providing mental health counsellingKey Responsibilities:Client Service Delivery:Provide telephonic and written counselling to members with high-risk or long-term illnessesSupport members in managing health risks and reducing hospital admissionsEnsure quality service delivery in collaboration with peersCompliance & Risk Management:Comply with legal and regulatory standardsAddress operational risks and escalate when necessaryOperational Responsibilities:Manage case information, handle claims queries, and collaborate with team membersRefer high-risk patients for additional support as neededStay updated with operational changes and deliver according to quality standardsLeadership & Development:Meet personal performance goals, participate in coaching, and support diversity initiativesStakeholder Management:Build relationships with customers and stakeholders and resolve complaintsCompetency Requirements:Attributes:Ownership: Make informed decisions that align with customer needsCollaboration: Build networks and share knowledgeInfluence: Persuade and convince others effectivelyKnowledge & Skills:Knowledge of legislation, risk assessment, and scheme rulesStrong communication, problem-solving, and task-management skillsProficient in clinical intervention, report writing, and computer technology
