Hire Resolve is excited to announce an opening for a Health & Safety Officer specializing in the packaging industry.

Key Responsibilities: - Monitor departments for unsafe behavior or regulatory breaches - Assess risks and safety hazards throughout Pride Pak Packaging - Create analytical reports on safety data - Inspect equipment and processes for safety - Order repairs for unsafe or damaged equipment - Focus on prevention through equipment maintenance and employee training - Present safety principles to staff in meetings or training sessions - Participate in continuing education to stay updated on health and safety protocols - Develop safety plans with recommendations for improving infrastructure and processes - Share information, suggestions, and observations with project leadership for consistent safety standards - Meet company health and safety goals - Investigate causes of accidents and unsafe conditions - Systematically address and solve problems as needed - Implement corrective and preventative measures - Liaise with law enforcement and investigators during serious accidents - Develop strategies to prevent future accidents - Review and report on staff compliance with health and safety rules, recommending commendations or dismissals based on performance Requirements Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health and Safety or a related field.
Minimum of 3 years experience as a Health & Safety Officer in the packaging or manufacturing sector.
Thorough knowledge of health and safety regulations, particularly those related to packaging.
Certifications such as NEBOSH or IOSH are highly desirable.
Strong communication and training skills.
Ability to work collaboratively with various teams.
Proficient in Microsoft Office and safety management software.
Valid Driver's License and willingness to travel as required.
