Our client is looking for an experienced & qualified H&S Officer with 5 years in a SHERQ Environment.Criteria:Matric & relevant Qualifications5 Years applicable experience in a SHERQ environmentPractical knowledge of occupational and environmental safety hazards, safety survey techniques, control, and preventative measuresISO 9001; ISO 14001 and OHSAS 18001 techniquesGood knowledge in Document Management SystemGood knowledge in Incident SystemEnsure full Health & Safety documentation compliance as per OHS Act and RegulationsImplementation of Health & Safety compliance, policies, laws, and by-lawsInternal Health & Safety auditsRisk assessments, safe working procedures, and communication thereofExternal audit preparation for Department of Labour and shareholdersManage full compliance on contractor and sub-contractor managementManage and execute environmental-related issues and compliance (Water testing, stack testing, and waste removal of contaminated and domestic waste)Employee induction and annual medical examination of employeesPlanned training and legal appointments to train employees and protect employerHygiene surveys – Noise, Illumination, and ventilationSHE Committee member and SHE meetingsINJURY ON DUTY MANAGEMENTEmergency coordinator and leader, Emergency preparedness, Managing Emergency equipment, Handling of Legal Appointments, Fire protection management.
