JOYA BRANDS is looking for a dynamic, and ambitious individual to join the Operations Team Location: Atlantis – Western Cape Reporting to: Operations Executive Requirements of the Role: Main responsibilities of Focus Area Overall Responsibility: Responsible for planning, implementing and overseeing the company's employee safety and wellbeing in the workplace The main duty is to ensure that the company complies and adheres to the Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) guidelines to reduce work-related injuries.
Develop, implement and management of Health and Safety programmes in accordance with SHE legislation.
Site, Safety and Compliance: Compliance Audit relevant to health and safety Documentation: Maintain up-to-date records of safety inspections, training, and compliance activities.
Risk Assessment and Management Compilation of SHE monthly reports and presenting to the Management team Capture and manage Non-Conformances, Corrective Action Request, Internal Audit, Incident Management and Change Control.
Review existing policies and procedures Communicate and train employees on policies and procedure Conduct regular SHE Inspections and report deviations.
Contractor Management: Drafting of contractor, SHE specifications Evaluation of contractor SHE files, and SHE plan.
Conducting contractor inductions Conducting contractor audits monthly and reporting on deviations Conducting regular site inspections and ensure compliance to specification Employee well-being: Work closely with the service provide to support wellbeing Develop and Implement the Employee Wellness Plan Evaluate the effectiveness and impact of the Wellness Plan Monthly reporting on Wellness Stats Employee Training: Toolbox Talks Training and Development for Safety and Site, Conduct Training Needs Analysis in conjunction with HR for the business Develop and deliver safety training programs for new hires and existing employees Support in the development of training content.
Ensure effective communication around Training Calendar: EHS /QFS & General Capture and report on monthly training conducted Support with the evaluation of effectiveness of training Requirements of the Role: Qualification: Matric National Diploma: Safety Management Experience: Minimum 3 Years experience in a production/manufacturing environment Knowledge and understanding of ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 implementation and audits Excellent knowledge of legislation and procedures Skills/Competencies Required: Detailed orientated.
