We seek highly motivated and detail-oriented individuals within various units in the HISP-SA. This is a Fixed term, 1-year contract with an annual base salary of R96,000 if full compliance to job requirements. No additional Benefits will be included for the Internship positions. All leave applicable to the BCEA is included.
Public Health Intern
This internship provides a unique opportunity to work on impactful public health initiatives, gain hands-on experience in health systems strengthening, and contribute to achieving universal health coverage in South Africa.
Key Responsibilities: Work collaboratively with teams to develop, implement, and maintain health information systems aligned with national strategies.Contribute to activities aimed at achieving Universal Health Coverage (UHC) and implementing National Health Insurance (NHI).Assist in strengthening the Human Resources for Health (HRH) system through data collection, analysis, and reporting.Provide logistical and administrative support for public health initiatives and stakeholder engagements.Job Requirements: Degree/Diploma in epidemiology or public health related field.Good verbal and written communication skills.Strong organizational, communication, and teamwork skills.Valid driver's license needed and willing and able to travel extensively within SA.Strong understanding of data analysis tools or software (e.g., Excel, DHIS2, or similar platforms) is a bonus.Application process: To apply, please complete the following form: Interns application form
