Health And Safety Officer

Formal Qualification

National Diploma in Safety Management and/or
Various health & safety and/or legal compliance courses
SACPCMP Registration as Safety Officer (CHSO)

Experience

5 years relevant experience

Experience Required

Good knowledge of the OHS Act and other applicable legislation
Knowledge of SANS Code 10085-Scaffold Inspection and Erector
Good knowledge of safety systems and ability to interpret situations to take appropriate action
Highlighting and escalating major risks and non-conformances
Good judgment in identifying life-threatening situations or major risks to the company
Auditing and monthly reports
Implementation of safety systems on site
Initial training of site staff, monitoring and rendering assistance when required

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: R15000,00 - R25000,00 per month
