Ensuring that the work environment is considered healthy,safe enough and in compliance with legal and other requirements for all employees and activities of the company.Candidate must be registered with the SACPCMPKEY PERFORMANCE AREASManagement of all health and safety risksHealth and Safety Management on siteParticipating in external and conducting internal audits.Health and safety training and awareness.Management of accidents and incidents.Manage overall health and safety compliance and performance on projects.Management of health and safety documentation.Duties:MANAGEMENT OF ALL HEALTH AND SAFETY RISKSEnsure that all activities are addressed on the risk register.Periodically ensure that all risk controls are implemented and ensure the risk register is updated on projectsInitiate the review of risk assessment according to prevailing hazards and changes on the projects.Sharing of lessons learnt on non-compliance to the controls in place.Be able to specify and identify the hazard and the risks as per activities performed on the projectsEnsure that risk assessment is done for all non-routine work.HEALTH AND SAFETY MANAGEMENT ON SITEEnforce the implementation of the Gen Overhead Lines Management system on site.Record and report on all instances of non-compliance to the management system.Participate in the periodic review of procedures and policies.PARTICIPATING IN EXTERNAL AND CONDUCTING INTERNALAUDITSParticipate in the client's periodic audits.Scheduling of periodic internal audits as detailed in the audit schedule.Develop action plans for all findings.Verify effective closure of audit findings.Share lessons learnt between groups.HEALTH AND SAFETY TRAINING AND AWARENESS Conduct employee and visitor inductions.Ensuring that material presented on work stoppages and training sessions is understood by all attendees.Communicate and train on key health and safety issues.MANAGEMENT OF ACCIDENTS AND INCIDENTSConduct investigations for all accidents and incidents on site.Making follow ups on the incidents and communicate with the employees/management to ensure effective closure thereof.Report all incidents and accidents to the relevant people.Share lessons learnt on incidents and accidents.MANAGE OVERALL HEALTH AND SAFETY COMPLIANCE AND PERFORMANCE ON PROJECTSEnsure that all teams and personnel comply with legislation and client requirements.Enforce all health and safety requirements.Report to management of any non-compliance and breaches on site Monitor level of compliance and report to site Management and senior Management.MANAGEMENT OF HEALTH AND SAETY DOCUMENTATION Ensure that health and safety documents are managed in the prescribed manner.Requirements:Qualifications: Relevant Tertiary DegreeSACPCMP registeredComputer literacy (Microsoft Office)Excellent knowledge of systems and proceduresInterpersonal SkillsDeadline DrivenCommunication SkillsKnowledge of Management SystemsAbility to work with minimum supervision.Time managementOwn Vehicle
