With more than 97,000 employees, SGS operates a network of over 2,600 offices and laboratories around the world.Job DescriptionReporting of hazards, near misses, incidents for the siteReporting monthly H&S KPI's for the siteAssist with the implementation of the H&S Top Page for the sitePerform H&S Inspections using checklistsPrepare other H&S checklists, training requirements on a monthly basis for designated staff. Receive the H&S checklists and trainings and perform spot checks.Log all Hazards & BBS into Crystal moduleAssist with the facilitation of Risk Assessments for the site.Schedule and conduct H&S trainingsConduct H&S Induction and OnboardingSchedule medicals as per medical surveillance programAssist with the implementation of H&SMS and local HSE regulatory requirements at responsible sitePromote HSE awareness (Campaigns, awareness, communications etc.) throughout the responsible siteAssist with the implementation of Global H&S Initiatives throughout responsible site where applicable (Safe Start, Stellar, Safety Month, Quarterly Campaigns, Safe Talks, SGS Rules for Life, Stop Work Authority, BBS, etc.)Form part of internal & external H&S audits & H&S site visits and assist with evidence preparation etc.Adhere and ensure adherence to all safety requirements of the SGS management system.Perform any reasonable tasks assigned to the job holder to support the overall OI strategy.QualificationsEducationSAMTRAC (Completed or in progress)Any HS&E short coursesAdditional InformationBe a South African citizen (be able to produce a valid South African ID document)Be between the ages of 18-30Must be currently unemployedMust have no criminal recordMust be willing to relocate to RandfonteinExceptional Computer Literacy (use of MS Office suite – Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)An affinity for data analysisStrong research skillsHigh attention to detail, accuracy, and efficiency in completing tasks.Exceptional organizational skillsSelf-motivated and high level of initiative.Required SkillsTranslates Strategy into Actions – Effectively communicates strategy and action plans to others.
