Key Responsibilities: Manage and oversee the daily operations of the dining room, including scheduling, training, and supervising the wait staff. Ensure that all guests are provided with exceptional service and that their dining experience meets or exceeds their expectations. Monitor and maintain the cleanliness and organization of the dining room, ensuring all health and safety standards are met. Collaborate with the kitchen staff to ensure timely and efficient food service. Handle guest complaints and resolve any issues in a timely and professional manner. Maintain inventory and order supplies as needed. Create and maintain a positive and productive work environment for the wait staff. Train new employees on company policies, procedures, and service standards. Conduct performance evaluations and provide feedback to the wait staff. Work closely with other departments to ensure seamless coordination and communication. Stay up-to-date with industry trends and make recommendations for improvement.
Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent, with a degree in hospitality or related field preferred. Minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in a cruise ship or high-end restaurant setting. Strong leadership and communication skills. Excellent customer service and problem-solving abilities. Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment. Proficient in English, with knowledge of other languages being a plus. Must be able to stand for long periods and lift up to 25 pounds.
