ELIGIBILITY:Suitably qualified candidates.CLOSING DATE:22.10.2024.REFERENCE NUMBER:FIN 98/24 Ext.SALARY:TCOE Salary: R 1 227 099 p.a.DEPARTMENT:Revenue.DIRECTORATE:FINANCE Head - Revenue Systems, Processes & Projects.Requirements:BTech/BDegree/Advanced Diploma Finance/Public Administration /Management.MFMA Municipal Minimum Competency (at least 15 unit standards completed).8 years' relevant experience in a Municipal Revenue environment of which at least 5 years in a senior position managing staff.Extensive knowledge and exposure to Local Government legislations, policies and service delivery obligations.In-depth knowledge of the Municipal Property Rates Act, as well the city's rates policy.Good understanding of property data relationship (structural master data, billing and invoicing).Excellent analytical abilities, attention to detail, communication and report writing skills.Proficiency in all Microsoft Office applications with Advanced Excel and Project Management.Proficiency in SAP ISU and LUM.Key Performance Areas:Manage and guide the business processes, system and projects division in investigating and documenting of all Revenue business processes.Manage the development of new and existing Business Processes and their implementation in consultation with Process Owners and other functionaries from related disciplines.Provides input/updates to the Rates Policy before approval by Council on operational complexities experienced on implementation.Manage revenue master data for billing purposes. Active participation in the PVC corporate forum and other data platforms and strategy workshops. Manage the returned monthly invoices and find resolution and resolve audit queries and C3's.Manages and controls the approving and processing of the city-wide applications for rates rebates and reductions received from elderly and disabled persons, farmers.
