Introduction:
Senwes is looking for a Head: Projects and Process Engineering who will be responsible for defining and implementing the organizations project management and process engineering strategy. This includes crafting cohesive roadmaps aligned with business objectives, ensuring the recruitment and development of skilled personnel, and forging strategic partnerships.

Description:
Responsible for defining and implementing the organization's project management and process engineering strategy. This includes crafting cohesive roadmaps aligned with business objectives, ensuring the recruitment and development of skilled personnel, and forging strategic partnerships. Oversees optimizes resource utilization for effective project delivery, and ensures rigorous framework alignment. Drive innovation and operational efficiency by contributing to growth, competitive advantage, and long-term success of the group.

Manage project and process management strategy, financial feasibility and operations Ensure project initiatives support the overall business strategy and direction.Assess the potential of new processes to enhance current business models and operations.Monitor and analyse processes and project trends and industry best practices.Initiate portfolio transformation initiatives.Ensure financial, strategic and resource feasibility of initiatives.Implement enhancements and optimizations that streamline processes and reduce operational costs.Advocate for and facilitate the use of data in decision-making processes across all levels of the organization.Evaluate structure and collaboration between the areas of the portfolio to ensure cross functional teamwork and efficiency.Ensure strategic roadmaps are aligned for international expansion and scalability.Work closely with other IT areas to ensure efficiency in delivery of solutions. Talent, skills, performance and people management Manage team's performance according to defined role definitions.The ongoing management of skills and talent to ensure a sustainable level of service delivery.Manage productivity at a level that promotes sustainability, agility and consistency.Proactively assess, review, define, and plan for developing and acquiring the skills needed to support both operational and Group strategic goals.Provide performance metrics, set goals, offer feedback, and develop talent to ensure a capable talent pool.Promote a culture of continuous improvement and innovation within the team.Mentor and develop teams, providing clear opportunities for professional growth.Lead and mentor the IT project and process management. Stakeholder, business and strategic partner management Manage relationships with external vendors and partners to ensure successful execution.Manage relationships with internal IT departments.Ensure the correct partners are in place to meet the needs of the environment and the wider IT department.Ensure business value through partnerships and engagements.Engage with business stakeholders to understand the needs and translate them into functional and strategic priorities.Capacity creation through strategic partnerships.Partner with key stakeholders to drive change management and business transformation initiatives.Identify opportunities to optimize costs, such as through vendor negotiations, process improvements, or technology rationalization. Manage project and process management governance, quality and compliance standards and procedures Audit and information security governance.Ensure financial risk reduction from project investments and solutions.Identify risks associated with resource and capacity constraints, such as bottlenecks or shortages.Create comprehensive policies and standards and ensure that the policies align with industry best practices and governance framework.Identify potential risks and issues that could impact project success and develop mitigation strategies.Ensure frameworks support compliance with internal policies and frameworks.Periodically review governance practices and policies to ensure they remain effective and aligned with organizational objectives.Develop and test business continuity and disaster recovery plans specific to portfolio.Chair Corporate Mandate meetings and drive execution and ratification of all corporate projects.Manage Digital Transformation initiatives in terms of timelines and execution. Resource, budget, capacity and project management Analyse current and future project requirements to forecast the demand for various resources.Active participation in formulating and enhancing IT solution delivery and IT project management standards and frameworks.Implement overall IT project governance frameworks to ensure consistent project execution and decision-making.Define and enforce project management standards, methodologies, and best practices across the portfolio.Deploy and manage project management tools and systems to facilitate planning, execution, and monitoring.Encourage continuous improvement in project management practices to enhance delivery performance.Use historical data, trends, and business growth projections to anticipate resource needs.Prepare and manage budgets for resource acquisition and utilization.Identify and address underutilization or overutilization of resources to maintain efficiency.Ensure that external resources, where applicable, are effectively integrated and aligned with project goals. Manage the delivery of projects and process implementations Manage project management standards.Ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget while meeting business objectives and quality standards.Active participation in the management of projects and business analysis.Oversee the development of detailed functional designs that address business problems and opportunities.Work closely with business leaders, users, and technical teams to understand requirements and deliver solutions that meet their needs.Ensure that third-party services and products align with project requirements and organizational standards.Implement rigorous quality assurance processes to ensure proposed solutions meet high standards of performance, reliability, and usability. Requirements: Qualifications: BCom/BEng Degree in Finance/IT/Project Management.
Requirements (South Africa): At least 7 years' experience with 5 years management experience. Candidates with project management or business improvement experience will receive preference.
