In this role, you will be accountable for the strategic management of the design and implementation of the company's Retail Investment Platforms product solutions and platform capabilities to ensure that the company delivers on its strategic objectives.Responsibilities:Drive the design, development, and implementation of profitable and competitive products that support the growth of the company, including local and international retail investment platforms and structured solutions.Lead the design and ongoing management of the company's local and international platform products to ensure they support clients and advisers in achieving their goals and are future-fit from a business perspective.Oversee the product development team, which includes capabilities in product design, management, pricing, profitability management, revenue optimization, data analytics, and product structuring.Identify future differentiating capabilities to ensure that the Wealth offering remains ahead of competitors and meets financial adviser needs and retail clients' investment outcomes.Provide thought leadership and oversight for new and existing Wealth retail investment products from conceptualization to launch, ensuring stakeholder and governance processes are incorporated.Manage and coordinate the ongoing review of products and platform capabilities to ensure regulatory compliance and competitiveness in relevant markets.Collaborate with internal investment business units to unlock opportunities for vertical integration through platform capabilities and distribution networks.Present solutions and proposals to governance forums, including the product management committee and divisional Excos, as required.Lead the content design for product and platform-related marketing materials, adviser, and client documentation.Ensure the Wealth product development team stays informed of local and global Wealth Management trends to identify opportunities for new products and capabilities.Collaborate with distribution teams to ensure market needs are understood and incorporated into product design and maintenance decisions.Develop and oversee competitive pricing strategies to drive profitability and long-term business growth.Work with the Wealth propositional lead to leverage capabilities into marketable propositions across various advice segments in South Africa and internationally.Effectively lead a team:Create a positive work climate and culture to energize employees and maximize productivity.Demonstrate exemplary leadership behavior in support of the company's values.Foster a culture of continuous learning, improvement, and cohesiveness.Encourage sharing of information regarding successes, issues, trends, and ideas among team members.Manage performance within the team to ensure business objectives are achieved.Promote innovation, change agility, and collaboration within the team.Develop and maintain productive working relationships with peers, clients, and stakeholders.Continuously develop expertise in professional, industry, and legislative knowledge.Drive career development and ensure optimal productivity.Maintain current technical product and legislative knowledge to propose relevant client solutions.Business Acumen:Experience and in-depth knowledge of the LISP (platform) industry, including regulations, products, and pricing.Understand the drivers of embedded value and financial drivers of retail investment products.Ability to handle complexity in a fast-paced environment.Experience leading a senior team with diverse skills to achieve common outcomes.Drive urgency, focus, accountability, agility, and execution to deliver results.Collaborate and consult broadly with internal and external stakeholders for product design and management.Influence and inspire others within and outside the company to gain support and commitment.Effectively manage relationships and deal with ambiguity and pressure.Qualifications:Fellow of the Actuarial Society of South Africa (ASSA).CFP or CFA qualification would be considered.Experience:8-10 years of retail investment LISP product development and management experience.5 years of leadership experience.Knowledge:Solid understanding of the regulations of the investment and LISP industry.
