RESPONSIBILITIES Strategic Planning and Execution Enable business to capitalise on new opportunities and build out new capabilitiesDevelop and implement a cost-effective strategy for core systems, platforms, and networks that simplifies processes and accelerates new product launchesShape the technical components of the company's strategy to ensure they align with overall business objectivesInvestigate and address connectivity gaps to strengthen our distribution strategy for future readinessDesign core systems that facilitate easy integration of new servicesOptimise and unify our platforms across the distribution businessIdentify and adopt innovative technologies that provide a competitive edgeSupport the strategy for technology platforms, partnerships, and external collaborationsEngage in comprehensive business technology planning, offering insights on current trends and future technology visions, while assessing the impact of emerging technologies on business strategies for the Executive Leadership TeamAssist the transformation of SA Distributions' application portfolio to adopt a modern, flexible architecture, enabling seamless integration of new capabilities and enhancing the product development process for volume growthAssist in the planning and execution of enterprise IT and digital systems to improve cost efficiency, service quality, and business developmentAnalyse complex business requirements and propose effective technical solutionsEvaluate, select, and implement technology solutions that address both current and future needsTake and oversee projects within the portfolio related to the selection, acquisition, development, and deployment of significant information systemsManage the implementation and upkeep of company systems, including the Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system, Business Intelligence (BI) systems, and customer-facing platformsSupervise vendor relationships to guarantee that all third-party vendors and service providers deliver dependable, adaptable solutions while maintaining cost efficiency in line with strategic goals and business objectivesEstablish, uphold, and enforce standards and procedures to ensure the consistency and maintainability of existing applications when implementing technical solutionsManage application development and support, network communications, infrastructure, data
