Primary Purpose The Head of Sales will be responsible for developing and growing all aspects of the External Sales department in the respective markets. They will manage client partnerships in Europe and the Middle East and lead, and work closely with in-country UK Sales Manager to develop and drive growth in the respective markets.Detailed ResponsibilitiesActively contribute to the development of sales strategies in Europe, the United Kingdom and the Middle EastDrive the implementation of sales strategies with a focus on innovation and growthBuild strong relationships with key customers, and collaborate with various teams to achieve exceptional outcomesRepresent the Company at Trade Shows and International Sales trips where requiredAdminister annual rate allocations for trade partnersAdminister sales reports as needed and provide feedback to the reservations team, ensuring effective communication and management of feedbackCollaborate with the reservations team on booking fulfilment as and when requiredContribute to the development of a Partner product sales strategy for the respective marketsHost agent educationals and familiarisation trips as and when requiredStay up-to-date on industry trends and best practicesUpdate the sales CRMCandidate profileQualification: Matric with MathsTertiary qualification in Sales/Marketing or Travel & Tourism an advantageExperience: 5 years proven sales and marketing experienceHaving sales relationships in the respective markets will be advantageousPrevious management/development of a brand will be advantageousAccountability for financial resultsExperience in handling trade relationshipsInternational sales experience is advantageousComputer Literate (Microsoft Office, email, Internet)Skills: Excellent interpersonal skillsAbility to motivate and mentor staff and trade partnersAbility to assess international source marketsAbility to identify trends and respond accordingly with products and sales strategies that increase Wilderness business, financial results and maximize market shareAbility to market and sell the products accurately and according to client requirementsTeam worker with the ability to interface with a variety of departments and peopleExcellent communication skillsSelf-starter, highly motivated, accountable, persistent, astute, organised, methodical, accurate and analyticalDeadline and results orientated
