Regulatory Compliance: Ensure timely and accurate submission of regulatory reports, including Basel III capital adequacy reports, liquidity coverage ratio (LCR), and net stable funding ratio (NSFR); Stay updated on local and international regulatory requirements (e.g., central banks, Basel Committee, IFRS). Reporting: Oversee the preparation of regulatory reports, including financial statements, capital adequacy, risk-weighted assets, and liquidity metrics; Validate and reconcile data for accuracy and completeness before submission. Stakeholder Management: Liaise with regulatory authorities, internal and external auditors to address queries and provide necessary information; Communicate regulatory changes and their impact to senior management and relevant stakeholders. Data Management and Governance: Implement robust data governance frameworks to ensure data integrity and consistency; Oversee the extraction, validation, and transformation of data to meet reporting requirements. Policy Implementation: Develop and maintain policies and procedures for regulatory reporting to align with compliance standards and best practices; Update internal processes and systems to adhere to changes in regulatory frameworks. Risk and Issue Management: Identify and mitigate risks associated with non-compliance or reporting errors; Develop contingency plans to address gaps or delays in reporting processes. System Enhancements: Collaborate with IT and finance teams to enhance or implement reporting systems, including data automation and reporting tools; Ensure reporting systems are adaptable to evolving regulatory changes. Strategic Planning: Provide insights and analysis on regulatory trends to inform senior management's strategic decisions; Monitor regulatory developments and assess their impact on the bank's operations and capital structure. Audit and Review: Coordinate with internal and external auditors for reviews of regulatory reports and processes; Maintain documentation and audit trails for all submitted reports. Qualifications and Experience: Qualified Chartered Accountant (CA(SA)); 5+ years of experience in regulatory reporting within the banking or financial services industry; In-depth knowledge of Basel III, IFRS, and local regulatory frameworks; Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills; Experience with data governance and reporting systems is highly advantageous.
