Our client is seeking a dynamic and experienced Head of Project Management to lead and manage clinical, pharmaceutical, or research programs.
The successful candidate will oversee project teams, ensuring timely and successful delivery while providing leadership, strategic oversight, and effective coordination.
The Head of Project Management will play a pivotal role in ensuring the successful delivery of clinical, pharmaceutical, or research programs.
They will provide leadership, strategic oversight, and effective coordination of multi-disciplinary project teams.
Responsibilities: Project Leadership and Strategic Oversight: Lead, manage, and oversee the execution of complex programs.
Develop comprehensive project plans, timelines, and budgets.
Collaborate with senior leadership to define project scope, priorities, and resource allocation strategies.
Project Execution and Coordination: Ensure that all project activities are carried out on time, within scope, and budget.
Act as the primary point of contact for all project stakeholders.
Develop and maintain strong working relationships.
Coordinate cross-functional teams.
Risk and Quality Management: Identify project risks and develop mitigation strategies.
Monitor and report on the progress of project milestones, KPIs, and project objectives.
Implement and maintain quality control measures and ensure compliance with GCP, GMP, and other relevant regulatory standards.
Team Development and Leadership: Lead and mentor a team of project managers.
Foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, and accountability.
Provide training and professional development opportunities.
Budget and Resource Management: Develop and manage project budgets.
Ensure cost-effectiveness across all project initiatives.
Monitor resource utilization.
Compliance and Regulatory Management: Ensure compliance with national and international regulations.
Work closely with regulatory teams to manage submissions and approvals.
Ensure adherence to NGO-specific regulations and donor reporting requirements.
Key Skills: Strong leadership and team management skills with a focus on team development and performance.
Excellent project management and organizational skills, with experience using project management software tools.
Strong financial management experience, including budgeting, forecasting, and cost management.
Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in clinical operations, pharmaceutical, or research project management.
Experience managing projects within an NGO/Donor programme setting is a plus.
Strong knowledge of clinical research methodologies, drug development processes, and regulatory frameworks.
Proven track record in managing cross-functional teams and delivering complex projects on time and within budget.
Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Life Sciences, Pharmacy, or related field.
Advanced degree (Master's, PhD) in a relevant field is preferred.
