We are looking for dedicated people to enrich our team.The Head of Programmes South Africa is responsible for leading and managing the programmes team to achieve its goals for FOUR PAWS in South Africa. The role is responsible for the strategy and delivery of international and national programmes, campaigns and projects.Your contribution will beBeing a member of the FOUR PAWS South Africa Leadership TeamContributing to the overall organisational strategy and its implementationIdentifying, developing, implementing and evaluating of innovative, national campaigns and projects aligned to the strategyLeading and developing the Programmes Team, ensuring their understanding and focus on the national programmatic strategyBuilding and managing external partnerships in South Africa and regionallyrelevant to ProgrammesDeveloping content, positions, and key messages for communications, fundraising and educational purposesPlanning, implementing, controlling and reporting on the programmatic budget and expensesYour profile ideally illustratesSeveral years of relevant experience in the leadership and management of programmes and campaigns in an NGO environmentFor South Africa, due to Employment Equity Laws, applications from South African citizens only, are requiredSound and up to date knowledge of the South African legal framework as it pertains to Animal WelfareStrategic thinkingExcellent presentation, communications, and negotiation skillsPlanning, organisation, time management, and coordinationFluency in written and spoken English and native / national language.Proficiency in MS OfficeWillingness to travel nationally as well as driver's licensePassion for animal welfare and FOUR PAWS vision and missionThe offer includesThe opportunity to truly contribute to global animal welfareA multinational team with the spirit of being ONE FOUR PAWSAn animal-friendly workplace with a dynamic and pleasant job environmentA modern leadership culture and promotion of training relevant to the positionWe reveal, rescue and protect unique animals from many different species through systems change and by creating species-appropriate environments at our sanctuaries!We celebrate our colleagues' differences and strive to create an inclusive environment because we believe that only by working together, we can advance animal welfare worldwide.
