The mission of our Head of Product is to help RoomRaccoon become the most adopted hotel management system in the world by ensuring that our Product & Engineering Teams are operating at the highest level possible according to our OnePage Strategic Plan (OPSP).
You will be handson identifying and managing requirements priorities and the launch (including the development) of new features and solutions.
The impact of product & engineering decisions should be made based on the hotelier journey and you will be a key decisionmaker with our CEO & CPO in both the development of our product and the growth of RoomRaccoon.
Tasks Your main duties and responsibilities will be but not limited to: Assisting with creating and managing our product roadmap and product development process Working with the Product Manager and CPO to translate the product roadmap into a development schedule for optimisation in terms of our ways of working Provide information to the Product Team based on our hoteliers using RoomRaccoon our sales teams and marketing team and translate these intoproduct solutionsthat deliver the value required for our hoteliers Understand the financial and commercial impact of our competitors and the features provided Be responsible for project managing how we scope and design new features products and use cases Provide innovative solutions according to sprints and the OPSP Provide information on trends in the hotel tech industry and how they impact product development On a daytoday basis working with the CPO on decisionmaking providing facts for operational efficiency and ensuring thereof.
Ensuring the stability of our product is adhered to at all times Balancing the strategy and of expected outcomes Ensuring that the Product Team follows our agile approach Building an inhouse Product Team that is resilient and handson Lead mentor and build a team of engineers fostering a culture of collaboration innovation and continuous learning Stay updated on industry trends and emerging technologies evaluating their potential impact and relevance to our business.
Implement best practices processes and tools to streamline development workflows and improve efficiency.
Monitor and analyse performance metrics identifying areas for optimisation and improvement to enhance the customer experience.
You will be accountable for The product being optimally selfexplanatory is your North Star Right people on the bus Maintaining productivity and cost efficiency of the product Product content optimal in all languages Stable reliable and costefficient delivery (hosting) New and improved features according to strategy Employee Experience in Team Product and teambuilding initiatives Product Roadmap and assistance with Strategy Developing and mentoring direct reports Working closely with the CPO Identifying opportunities & implementing/improving processes to increase release quality Leading the engineering team in alignment with the intended business value creation Conduct performance reviews identifying development opportunities and addressing challenges within the engineering team Requirements About you: Our perfect fit has/is: Language requirements: English Qualifications/Experience: Worked in a SaaS company whose revenue has hit 20 Million ARR Experience working in a bootstrapped environment Has strategically hired and built inhouse product & engineering teams as opposed to outsourcing Experience in Agile and Scrum methodologies Team Squad experience and experience in structuring a team according to a tech scaleup such as RoomRaccoon International experience; Europe and Africa Proven experience in software development and technical leadership roles with a track record of successfully delivering complex projects.
