Qualifications A tertiary 3-year Diploma/Degree (Commerce/Supply Chain/Business) or related procurement qualification.
Related Postgraduate qualification advantageous.
MCIPS certification an added advantage.
Experience At least a minimum of 8-10 years' proven working experience in supervising/managing others within procurement or supply chain management.
Excellent knowledge of sourcing and procurement techniques.
Strong commercial acumen, exceptional eye for details, including experience in leading negotiations.

Job Duties / ResponsibilitiesStrategic Alignment Contribute towards the development of the company's strategic plans.
Compile and present departmental strategy for Exco review and input into broader organisational strategy.
Ensure that financial transactions, policies, and procedures meet short- and long-term business objectives and regulatory body requirements.
Identification of departmental risks and implementing departmental risk management strategy.
Operational Monitor all procurement activities.
Market analysis plus total supplier base management.
Report to the executive management team.
Procurement department internal and external reporting on KPIs.
Ensure sourcing decisions are made in accordance with approved strategies.
Ensure supplier bidding/selection in accordance with the Procurement Policies and Procedures and enforce implementation.
