CLOSING DATE: 12 AUGUST 2024SALARY: R 1 206 200 PER ANNUMTO APPLY: CALL SHASHI or send a WhatsApp message to the cell number in the REF above for email address shashi@mployglobalPURPOSEThe Head of Procurement will be responsible for procurement governance, legislation, and compliance management duties, while working in close contact with the Procurement team and internal stakeholders.QUALIFICATIONSA tertiary 3-year Diploma/Degree (Commerce/Supply Chain/Business) or related procurement qualification.MCIPS certification is an added advantage.EXPERIENCEAt least 8-10 years of proven working experience in supervising/managing others within procurement or supply chain management.Excellent knowledge of sourcing and procurement techniques.Strong commercial acumen, exceptional eye for detail, including experience in leading negotiations.Please note that preference will be given to people with disabilities.JOB DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIESStrategic AlignmentContribute towards the development of the company's strategic plans.Compile and present departmental strategy for Exco review and input into broader organizational strategy.Ensure that financial transactions, policies, and procedures meet short- and long-term business objectives and regulatory body requirements.Identify departmental risks and implement departmental risk management strategy.OperationalMonitor all procurement activities.Conduct market analysis and manage the total supplier base.Report to the executive management team.Manage procurement department internal and external reporting on KPIs.Ensure sourcing decisions are made in accordance with approved strategies.Ensure supplier bidding/selection is in accordance with the Procurement Policies and Procedures and enforce implementation.DESIRED SKILLSProven working experience in supervising/managing others within procurement or supply chain management.Strategic AlignmentOperationsExcellent knowledge of sourcing and procurement techniques.Policy and GovernanceSustainable DevelopmentDESIRED WORK EXPERIENCEMore than 10 yearsDESIRED QUALIFICATION LEVELDegreeABOUT THE EMPLOYERThe number of jobs in each salary range for all.
