Head of Finance - Roodepoort, South Africa - Clicks Group LimitedDescriptionWe are looking for a permanent Head of Finance to work for United Pharmaceutical Distributors (UPD). The role will be based at the Roodepoort Lea Glen branch and will report to the Managing Executive UPD. The role involves developing and executing financial direction, assessing and allocating financial resources to the business unit, and enhancing the business unit's financial health through the achievement of its financial targets. The job requires effective financial management, complex financial management analysis and planning, and high-level verbal and written communication.The ideal candidate has a retail or business-related qualification and minimum experience as a finance executive or head within a sizeable retail company with a national footprint. The role also involves contributing to the business strategic agenda, ensuring accurate and timeous financial results, managing business development and project management, and providing assurance of compliance to defined operational processes. The successful candidate will also be responsible for people management and development.The job requires skills in persuading and influencing, negotiation and conflict management, and analytical and critical thinking. The successful candidate will also be required to have knowledge of relevant legislation, accounting standards and principles, financial management principles, and knowledge of business processes within large FMCG environments.
