Responsibilities:
Responsible for interpreting, explaining, and driving business performance by serving as a catalyst for strategic initiatives, managing and mentoring the Commercial finance team, and providing insightful analysis aligned with the business strategy to enhance overall performance and ensure successful delivery of strategic objectives
Acts as a Strategic business partner, especially for sales, by supporting in finalizing business decisions related to hospital buying group contracts, supporting CRM, Sales force Effectiveness tools, and processes
Responsible for overseeing full Profit and Loss accountability, analysing actual-plan variances, managing provisions, and leading performance reporting with market insights and current market data reports at national and territory
Responsible for the budget process and regular planning processes (Sales, OPEX, Inventory & Cash Flow, Headcount planning)
Ensuring pricing control/recommendations within the EU pricing system ensuring optimal pricing strategy for the region in all channels
Providing business expertise into accounting processes (e.g. valuation of accruals) supervising financial accounting & reporting through coordination of third parties, reports review and sign off (company assets, compliance with all policies/ regulations)
Having oversight at distribution and distributors in the region to ensure product availability within EU distribution model and be the link between the local team, the distributor and the European supply chain team for the demand planning of the regional markets
Ensuring timely preparation of consolidated monthly and annual financial statements according to IFRS
Key lead on business cases studies for new product launches or line extensions
Performing ad-hoc responsibilities within the scope of Commercial Finance
Bachelor's degree in finance and/or Accounting, MBA would be an advantage.
Certifications/registrations • Chartered Accountant or equivalent certification.
7-10 of relevant professional experience in a comparable position, ideally in the pharma/med-tech environment
Experience in developing and optimizing processes and structures
Excellent user knowledge of MS Excel, MS Access, and high IT affinity
Familiarity using ERP systems including use of financial reports.
Knowledge of accounting according to IFRS as well as basic knowledge of tax law
Independent, careful, and structured working style, teamwork, and strong communication skills
