Head Of Finance

A prominent South African online retailer seeks a highly talented CA(SA) to join their team as Head of Finance for their general finance team, based in Cape Town. This role is ideal for an entrepreneurial, dynamic individual with strong financial acumen and leadership skills. As the successful incumbent, you will have proven experience in financial accounting, budgeting, reporting, and cash flow management, along with the ability to develop new frameworks in a fast-paced, growing e-commerce environment.
Responsibilities: Oversee the accounts' payable functionMonitor and manage cash flow to optimize working capitalManage the accounts' receivable functionDevelop and implement credit policies and procedures to minimize bad debtMonitor and report on accounts receivable aging and performanceOversee revenue recognition processes and analyze revenue trendsOversee inventory management and control processesEnsure accurate and timely recording of stock movements and valuationsMonitor stock levels and optimize inventory turnoverManage financial operations related to the company's third-party marketplaceMonitor and report on marketplace financial performancePrepare and present financial reportsTake full ownership of annual- and interim financial audits (internal and external)Work closely with FP&A team to complete the annual budget cycleEnsure full statutory compliance relating to indirect company taxesLead and mentor the finance teamSet performance goals and conduct regular performance reviews
