Job purpose: To ensure an efficiently run finance department based on ITSM best practice, by providing financial reports and interpreting financial information, recommending courses of action, maintaining the financial health of the organisation, creating financial awareness, identifying trends, improving financial efficiency driven by highest levels of customer service, communication, and teamwork.
Key performance areas Team Leadership & People Management Financial and Statutory Reporting Audit and Compliance Financial Strategy Financial Planning, Budgeting and Forecasting Qualifications and experience Bachelor's degree or higher in Finance, or Accounting or equivalent Proven experience within a managerial role of 6 - 10 years Certifications - SAICA, CA(SA) Tax certification an advantage Exceptional knowledge and experience of accounting principles and practices, taxation, and financial regulations, and experience with overseeing tax submissions to SARS. Demonstrated success in financial planning, forecasting, and budget management. Demonstrated oversight of Operational finance: Daily activities and key metrics, optimizing costs, including the introduction of automation to finance activities, e.g automated invoicing. Experience in strategic financial decision-making, and risk management. Excellent communication and leadership skills with the ability to build and manage a high-performing team. Proficient in accounting software, Microsoft Office Suite, (PowerBI, Navision) is an advantage. Experience in the technology or hosting industry preferred.
