Select your country to see jobs specific to your location.Head of Facilities Management - Western Cape, Cape TownThe Head of Facilities Management is responsible for overseeing all aspects of facilities management, including maintenance, operations soft services, OHS and CAPEX projects. The ideal candidate has to have extensive experience in facilities management, strong leadership skills, and a proactive approach to problem-solving. They play a critical role in ensuring that our facilities meet the needs of our tenants, employees and support our business objectives. Furthermore, they are responsible for the development and implementation of strategic plans for the maintenance and operation of all facilities, including preventive maintenance programs and capital improvement projects, with the aim of improving standards and efficiencies as well as asset preservation, through appropriate resource, (employees, vendors) planning and working closely with Asset Management as well as Property Management.Requirements:Level 6 - Matric with a relevant tertiary qualification in engineering or building science etc.10 or more years' experience in facilities management (of which at least 3 years at a supervisory level).Experience in operations management and financial management.Experience in developing and implementing risk management programs and strategies.Experience with contract management.Knowledge of relevant health, safety, and environmental regulations and standards.Proven ability to manage budgets, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.Professional certifications in facilities management are a plus.Strong leadership skills, with the ability to effectively manage a team and collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders.A valid Code EB (08) driver's license and own transport.
