First Table seeks an experienced and dynamic Queenstown-based Head of Data. As a pivotal role in our organisation, the successful candidate will lead our data management efforts and ultimately drive improved product performance.
We are looking for a full-stack data leader who can navigate the complexities of data science and data engineering.
Key ResponsibilitiesData Management: Oversee all data management aspects, focusing on B2C performance enhancement and B2B lead generation. Providing valuable and actionable insights to Sales, Marketing and other teams through analytics, scalable tools and metric monitoring.Data Science: Utilise Python (pandas, requests, Beautiful Soup) to manipulate, adjust, create, and measure data from various sources, ensuring actionable insights and strategic growth.Data Engineering: Design and build systems to enable deeper data analysis and product functionality in future.Database Development: Employ your skills in MySQL and PostgreSQL to query and integrate data with existing databases, supporting our infrastructure's backbone.Business Intelligence & Dashboard Creation: Design and maintain dashboards for commercial and operational teams, providing critical insights for decision-making.Analysis and Insight Dissemination: Automate report generation, delivering key marketing insights to stakeholders.Conversion Rate Optimisation: Lead test ideas and team efforts to optimise conversion rates, driving significant business growth.QualificationsProven experience in data management, with a strong background in both B2C and B2B environments.Intermediate to advanced knowledge of data science, including proficiency in Python (pandas, requests, Beautiful Soup).Intermediate experience in database development, specifically MySQL and PostgreSQLProficiency in business intelligence tools and dashboard creation.Adept at analysis, insight dissemination, and marketing automation.Skilled in customer insights gathering, conversion rate optimizationIn return First Table offersEmployment at an award-winning global companyThe opportunity to be part of a team that is talented and passionate about what they doOpportunities for internal and external professional developmentGreat company culture.
